I sold my 2013 FoST last week and picked up this bad lad. It is hard to get used to an automatic again but no car payment sure is sweet.

Only picture, sadly. We just bought a house and I have been working like a dog on that and have had no time for the car (only had it 6 days anyway). I did take the 39 badge off the back (SAAB joke from the previous owner) and the Aero badge; still need to get the last of the adhesive off.

Focus was too small and too car-paymenty. Plus I needed something to do so I figure ‘Why not pick up a car that goes through coil packs like it goes through gas?’.

This is just my opinion, but I would rather pay $400~ a month, to have a car under warranty with no issues rather than pay a lump sum of $10,000~ for a car with no warranty and repairs. If you average it out over 3 years for example, you will be spending less per month on a car with payments & warranty. Just my $0.02.

Understandable. I recently sold my old Volvo wagon for a newer Mazda6 sedan (and made money on the deal), out of sheer practicality of ownership, and there's been a constant sense of wishing the car was the 5-door or wagon instead, but was too good a deal to pass up.

It is a moose sticker but it says SAAB at the top of it. Previous owner added it, I figure I’ll leave it for a while.

Do it. I liked FoST but it feels pretty liberating to be free of that payment and know I could do some stuff to this car without voiding a warranty.

I alternate back and forth between wanting a reliable car-paymenty car or a cheaper car that might have some “quirks.” I’m in the car-paymenty phase right now, but I’ve done my time replacing ignition coils on a Saab. Hooray rockauto.com!

Yep, RockAuto. I have 6 coil packs, 6 plugs, and sway bar links in the garage at home waiting to go on the car. After that; a tune.

I saw him yesterday at work and he said he got an email from someone (not sure if you or someone else) but he said he needs to get pictures and stuff taken of it before he emails you back. He’ll get back to you. Let me know if you don’t hear back in a couple days then I’ll go bug him again.
